Hello and Welcome to Healthy Hatha Mama

Have you ever had that nagging feeling that you should be sharing your passion with the world? But you aren’t… Well that is me. I am a mom of two boys living in Ohio. I have an amazing family that is encouraging me to follow my dreams.

Shortly after I gave birth to our first son in 2017, we decided to make a jump to living a more mindful and sustainable lifestyle. We went vegan in December of 2017 for the environment as well as our health. Our choice to do this ultimately came down to the fact that we would like to raise our boys with more of an awareness of how we are treating our bodies and the environment. We can’t change the world, but we can change our personal impact on it. In align with our goals we have decided to attempt homeschooling our boys.

My goal for writing this blog is to document our journey to a more mindful and healthier lifestyle by sharing our recipes, activities that our family has tried and loved, and our homeschool experiences. I grew up on the standard American diet, so I know all too well how hard it can be transitioning to a vegan-ish lifestyle. My dream is to help others through their journey to a healthier and more mindful life by recording our journey. If I can make an impact on just one person and help them make more mindful choices, or connect with their children through fun activities, then this blog will be a success to me.
